Interweb
Woohoo!!! I finally got connected again... It's been a long 2 weeks without the internet and beer & TV isn't a suitable replacement. Onc I've sorted out a few minor hicups like the fact that BT don't do static IP addresses or SMTP mail for their home users things will be back to normal.
I'm giving No-IP.com a try and hopefully I don't drop my connection too often.
Well, the new flat is great. Still haven't managed to get any network games up and running at home though. I think I might talk my housemates into one over the weekend and I'll try go easy on them.
I've been waiting on a replacement graphics card from Tekheads for more than 3 weeks now which is starting to get a bit ridicules. I hope I don't have to trek out to my old flat to go and pick it up. I think I may just try and get a refund and source it from somewhere else if it dosen't arrive tomorrow.

Wow! I go off thesis-completing for a day or two and look--your blog is back, and more official than ever! Like the new look. (Not to mention, your references are impeccable.)
Thanks. There was much swearing and scratching of heads involved but I think she's stable for a while.
Hmmm...my prescription for coprolalia and cephalic pruritis? Clearly, a pint.
Doh! Busted...
I guess there's no denying that the beer may have had something to do with the slow diagnosis of my interweb problems *blush*.
The pizza turned out like that without the help of beer though *grin*
I'm beginning to think that there may be a problem with the interface between "heating pizza" and "Englishmen." (Beer or no beer!)
Just last Sunday my BF asked if it was alright to leave the pizza *in the cardboard box* to reheat it in the oven! Now, this is a bloke who roasts/grinds his own curry powder and makes his own pasta, so it can't be a problem with general cooking skills. There has to be something neuron-scrambling about pizza.
So I'll tell you what I told him: "Just place the pizza on some alumin[i]um foil before you put it in there!"
Well---at least ripply pizza is not dangerous, as flaming cardboard would undoubtedly be.
Aye... *shakes head*... the microwave generation. It's a good idea to remove the plastic off items before placing them in the oven as well... otherwise your food ends up with a funny aftertaste and the plastic is often quite difficult to separate from the cheese.
Bachelor Cooking Tip #002Doubling the recommended temperature on the box does not halve the cooking time.
