Green, not only the color of envy, but also the sassiest color a Vespa can come in.....rrrrrrrrrr.

That is a nice green.

I did have a green Vespa a few years back but my spray job was nowhere near as nice as on that one and ended up looking like something from army surplus. *grin*

I have recently begun a search for a Vespa, but here in the US there is such a small selection. You, my friend, live in the land of plenty. I am envious. I have notice a touch of obsession that you have for the Vespa. Where does this come from?

Obsession? Me? Never...
*He says glancing around his room and seeing nothing but computer & Vespa bits.*Ok, maybe a little.

I love the shape of the Vespa. It has curves in all the right places, it's sleek, it's sexy and has a lovely purr... Ok, three out of four isn't bad. It's not exactly aerodynamic (especially in a crosswind)... but it is very pleasant on the eye.

Mechanically, the Vespa is pretty simple to work on and even I can sort out just about anything that needs to be done to it (things will be so much simpler when my warranty runs out...)

My first Vespa was a second hand PX200E which I got in Cape Town during the 90's and I've been in love with them ever since. I clocked up loads of km on it and survied the traffic with only a few minor scrapes.

Some day I'm going to get myself an old one to restore (I need to get a place with some workspace first though... until then I'll stick to collecting PCs)

This is the right country to restore Vespas in though. Parts and other resources are easily available, either locally or from Europe.

Have a look at Scooter-links if you're looking to buy a Vespa. There are quite a few places that are importing new and restored Vespas into the US.

A LITTLE? oh my…

I love it…. a man passionate for Vespas…nothing sexier….teehee. A former boyfriend and I purchased one together years ago (when I live in San Francisco), but in the break up his one the ride. Don’t worry the trade off was worth it. I received the tickets to Indian and the money we had saved for the travel….3 months in a country I love. I have been to the site you recommended before; the unfortunate thing is the state I live in. Most of the Vespa dealers are on the west coast and the ones that are located in Georgia have a small and simple selection. I have thought about heading north to check some out in Virginia, but haven’t had the time lately. I am holding out for the right one. Maybe I should think that way when it comes to men….hmmmm.

I have a fondness for the Vespa PX. It is timeless. So you the national spokes person for Vespa? I know that I could take the time and refresh my memory by reading over your blog again, but alas I am too lazy on this cold and rainy day. So do tell me, what is you occupation?......of the subject….have you seen the photos from the funeral? WHEW…they are so powerful. I wish I would have been able to view the funeral on the television (I was sleeping). I think it had to be incredibly emotional. Can you tell that I have had a spell of insomnia?

Nah, I'm not an employee of Piaggio although I should probably buy some shares *grin*.

I did catch a few clips of the funeral on the news yesterday but haven't had a chance yet to have a good look. I'll catch up with that once this cup of coffee kicks in.
