A few months ago I “crossed the bridge into the new millennium.” I disconnected my land line and purchased a cell phone. Verizon was having a sale for new customers and I had the opportunity to purchase a fancy shmancy Samsung camera phone. The only reason I purchased this phone was the discount made it impossible to say no. I am envied by many. Why am I not so impressed with this phone? Well, who can I send/receive the images too? No one is as hip as me and owns a camera phone. The only thing I end up using the camera for is to personalize my phonebook, so that when friends call their images appears on my screen. I guess if you are going to be spending $$ really think whether you would put it to good use. Also, keep in mind that there is a lonely camera phone owner in the US that is in search of more people like her. teehe.
As far as the mobile is concerned, I have a chunky Nokia 6600 at the moment and I might be tempted by the 7610. I don't really use it enough to justify spending loads of money on one and I don't want to have to change my number again.
What i would really like is a simple blue tooth device with just the mobile functionality that will act as an add on to my PDA but I haven't found anything like that yet. That way it could cuddle up to my BT GPS in my bag and connect to it with my PDA when I want to make calls. I suppose receiving calls may be the problem if you happen to have the PDA out of range of the phone bit... hmmm... perhaps that's why that don't make them... I'm sure an elegant solution could be found to that problem though...

For some reason that photo is really more disturbing than it ought to be, like kitten heads photoshopped onto human bodies and so on.
Is it just me or does the image seem vaguely phallic?
...er the camera-phone and not kitten-heads on humans...

keep dreaming...some day it will happen.
Yes! Yes it does. Thank you for normalizing that reaction.
In fact, it reminds me of Joe Camel.
Thanks Liz, I see Joe Camel in a whole new light now...
Oh, they've always sold cigarettes that way.
To kids.
Which is messed up on more levels than I can bear.
