Due for release in May 2006, Philips new environmental gaming device will be amBX. The aim of amBX is to allow games to control the environment in which they are played to an unprecedented degree, including general lighting, heat and airflow around players.

Cool! Now I want a "real-world" application of this technology, such as making more realistic virtual environments for exposure therapy.
That would help. What ever happened to VR glasses?
I can see the MSN Messenger's emoticons getting a revamp if this product makes it into the mainstream... sending blasts of hot air and turning the lighting red whenever you do a angry face.
You'll need one of these to go with it for the exposure therapy.
